How to activate thru KMS server recent Enterprise or Pro editions of windows and office.

To activate any Ent, Datacenter, Pro Windows (vista, win7, win8, win8.1, win10, win2008r2, win2012, win2012r2, win2016) or office2010/2013/2016 use installed KMS server:

1. check that you use proper windows (not retail Ultimate, Home edition)

2. find out your KMS cdkey from official Microsoft site: link  for Windows  ; link2 for Windows; link for Office 2013  and link2 for Office2010

3. login to target pc under local admin (on target PC disable firewall)

4. for example if your KMS server has IP address 192.168.0.3 then

If you have only one version of Windows and one version of Office – you may just create bat script with above commands and put it in shared folder on the filesserver.

KMS activation works only for 180 days and should be auto renewed (computer should be from time to time in the same network with KMS server, or KMS server should be accessible by PC requesting activation). So don’t use it with home notebooks which after activation will not come back to your office any more.

If you prefer GUI you can try Microsoft VAMT, but latest VAMT (for win8/win2012 and later) became too monstrous, big and uses MSSQL so above scripts is more mobile and universal for me.

ps.

If your company has very segmented networks when RPC ports (from VAMT) and 1688 ports can be blocked , then maybe it’s better to use AD-based activation.

Also be sure that any antivirus (for example Kaspersky) doesn’t block above two vbs scripts.
